2024 Personal Project

Photography has always been a hobby for me and as I age, it’s more of a therapeutic outlet for me. As a full-time professional photographer, I have less time for that therapeutic aspect. I really felt the effects of spending less time on ‘fun’ photography last year. I found it difficult to find the creative mojo when I had a small pocket of time to play with my cameras.

Towards the end of 2023, I was invited to join an IG group that focuses solely on Double Exposures. I was excited and anxious about participating in this group as I was in the midst of a (very long and dragged out) creativity block. I enjoyed taking double exposure photos for several years, somewhere along the way I stopped doing them. I made the decision to join this group of crazy-talented women in posting a double-exposure photo every Friday.

This focus has turned into a personal project for me and re-ignited my passion for double-exposures! I’d love to share some of my images with you.

January 2024

March 2024

I’ll admit, I do not use Photoshop to create double-exposures. I’m in the process of writing a breakout on creating double-exposures in the non-traditional way. Would you be interested in reading it when I am finished? If so, leave me a comment below.
