Creative Adventures

I’m a resourceful person. When pandemics strike and close down my world, I find something to do. The first two to three weeks of the ‘social distancing’ thing and '#stayhomefornevada was ok. I made a big ‘to do’ list of tasks, delegated a few to hubby and the kids, and did the rest myself.

I wasn’t anticipating this pandemic to drag on as long as it has, and I started going a little stir crazy. My friend Charlie, also known as ‘The Enabler’, introduced me to an amazing series of photography workshops, with the most creative and talented instructors I’ve ever dreamed of.

Macro Masters I & II workshops, organized by Jackie Kramer of luvblooms , who herself is a fabulous instructor and incredibly talented, have been challenging, uplifting, inspiring, among other things. Right now, I’m working through the Masters in Artistic Photography Fall 2020 Workshop. Honestly - the multitude of talent that pours out of these instructors is mind-blowing. They are each so kind to offer tips and constructive critique. And charming! Oh my gosh, I’ve got big fan crushes going on.

As ‘social distancing’ (so done with this) is still a huge part of our daily lives, I hope to spend some free time going back through the workshops from the spring & summer and watch again. I’ve probably missed a few, lol. There’s just so much to learn and do!

Here are some of my ‘O, So Humble’ attempts from spring and summer.

It feels good to have been creative an productive during the uncertain times of 2020. I’ve fallen in love with a vintage Russian lens on my Fujifilm camera - the Arsat 80mm  What a dream. Hope you’ve enjoyed looking at these.

What creative adventures have you had this year?
