Road Trip

We went on a little road trip right after Valentine’s Day to the western slope of Colorado. We hadn't been out there in so long and our souls were longing for the beautiful mountains and cool air.

We came in the day after a snowstorm and left the day before the next one. The contrast between the snow and the red rocks in the National Monument was striking.

We drove through the Colorado National Monument Park which is on the southwest edge of Grand Junction. The wind held back while we took a few walks and we were so grateful, especially with the chilly temperatures.
