Let’s count our blessings!

I guess we all now know how life can change in the blink of an eye. As we practice sheltering at home and socIal distancing, it could be easy to focus on the negative in our new ‘normal’.

As a family and senior photographer here in the Las Vegas, Hemderson, NV, and Boulder City area, i’ve seen the effects In both my personal and business lives.

I’m challenging you to find the good. For me, The good:

my college kids are around a little more.

i’m putting less wear and tear on my car

i’m spending less money

i’m cooking dinner most nights (if you really know me, you know this struggle is real)

i’m finishing a lot of quilting projects

i’m working on all those projects around the house that I’ve wanted to do but have neglected because I was so busy (or just lazy)

we’re eating THROUGH our pantry and freezer

we are more aware of food waste

i’m getting caught up on my work ‘to do’ list

Those are just a few of many (personal) good things that have come from this #pandemic2020 event for me and my family.

I’ve also seen so many businesses willing to give to the public - especially the photography community. So many businesses are sharing valuable resources such as educational programs, editing ideas, creative projects, all at an expense to their businesses. They don’t have to. But like most people, they step up when the chips are down.
